GAME DAY POPCORN

  • 1 cup unpopped corn
  • 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 teaspoons lemon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chile pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup mixed nuts


 Heat vegetable oil in a large pan, pour in popcorn, and shake the pan occasionally while popped to ensure that the corn doesn't burn. In a large bowl, combine popcorn, mixed nuts, and shredded cheese. Over medium heat, melt butter. Add spices to the melted butter and stir well. Pour butter mixture over popcorn and toss. Can be served warm or cold.
